I. Stature
as a physician
- Medical School
Graduation
from a medical school in the United States or Canada,
accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education
(LCME)
or
Graduation from an osteopathic college
of medicine, accredited by the American Osteopathic Association
(AOA)
or
Hold a Standard Certificate granted by
the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates
(ECFMG)
- Current license to
practice medicine in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam
or the Virgin Islands. (Applicants from other countries
must be licensed in the country in which they reside and
practice.)
- Three years experience in practice
beyond residency training
- Board certification in a clinical
specialty:
Must be or have been board certified
in a clinical specialty recognized by the American Board
of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association.
Must have been in good standing if you chose not to renew
board certification.

Education Requirements
- 150
Hours of management education
126 hours
of tested core courses
(provided
by ACPE);
plus
24 hours of tested elective management courses. Tested
courses from other organizations may be considered for
equivalency.

- Graduate management degree
(MBA, MMM, MS, MHA, MPH)
Transcripts
must be provided to the CCMM Credentials Committee for
review.
or
- Diplomate status in the American
Board of Medical Management

Medical Management Experience
Medical Management Experience
- one year of
medical management experience. Describe how you have managed
people, budgets and information.
- letter of recommendation
affirming your management experience.
The letter of recommendation should be written by the immediate
supervisor. If no immediate supervisor is available, the
letter should be provided by a CEO of another significant
healthcare organization in the community.
