Certification Presentations
Before Assessment Panel
See schedule for time.
Each candidate will make a five-minute
presentation to a panel to describe their medical
management skills and accomplishments and to demonstrate
their effective presentation skills. The presentation
will be videotaped. After the presentation, panel
members may ask questions concerning the presentation
and will ask questions to test the candidates
knowledge of medical management education resources
and mentoring techniques.
Come to the area outside your presentation room
15 minutes before your scheduled presentation
time. Be prepared to give your presentation then
because sometimes the sessions move along more
quickly than we expect.
Panel will recommend to the Credentials Committee
of the Certifying Commission in Medical Management
that a candidate be passed or deferred based on:
*the ability of the candidate to communicate skills
and accomplishments and how those skills were
used in his/her career
*the ability to make an effective presentation
*the ability of the candidate to respond to questions
concerning career management, mentoring
*the candidates knowledge of medical management
education resources
