J. Larry Tyler

Larry Tyler is the founder of Tyler & Company, one of the largest healthcare executive search firms in the country, working with hospitals, HMOs, PHOs, clinics, insurance companies and individual clients. The company has been recognized twice as one of the top 50 national search firms by Executive Recruiter News. In his book, The New Career Makers, author John Sibbald acknowledged Mr. Tyler's peer recognition as one of the top search consultants in the U.S.

Mr. Tyler is a Fellow of the American Association of Healthcare Consultants, where he previously served as Chairman of the Board. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, for whom he served as a Chairman of the Career Development Committee. In 1996, he received the ACHE's Regent Award for the state of Georgia and in 2008, the ACHE Distinguished Service Award. Dr. Tyler is also a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, where he is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Healthcare Financial Management magazine and of the American Institute of CPAs and the Georgia Society of CPAs. His first book, The Healthcare Executive's Job Search: Tyler's Guide to Success, was published by Health Administration Press and is currently in its 3rd edition.

In 2008, Mr. Tyler was named by Business Weeks as one of the 100 most influential headhunters in the world. He is a member of the board of directors of Signium International, an international consortium of executive search firms.

Mr. Tyler received a BS degree in Industrial Management from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University.
